After a couple of weeks which flew by so quickly, I'm finally back!
Oh, and did I mention that I'm now a married woman?!?
Yep, it's been a solid 10 days since our wedding day and it's still sinking in. Ridiculous, I know.
We've actually been back from the honeymoon trip since Friday but Mr. FP only just returned to work today (thank you July 4th) so we decided to extend the honeymoon at home. And let me tell you, it was worth it. Although I understand why some people delay the honeymoon for financial or weather reasons, I am glad we dove into the honeymoon right after the wedding, because we definitely needed it.
The days leading up to the wedding were ridiculously hectic. In spite of all our preparation, having our wedding at a cottage means that many of the major details like tents, rentals and food couldn't be put together until the final days before the wedding. Between Thursday and Saturday at noon, family members and friends joined us in the final hurdle to get everything done and I could not be more grateful for all the help we received.
It was far from perfect as many details were forgotten and we got a surprise downpour, but it was still the best day of our lives so far in the end. As cliche as it sounds, all my nerves disappeared the second I started that walk down the aisle toward Mr. FP and we were able to enjoy the day to its fullest in spite of certain minor disappointments.
Recaps are coming soon. As soon as we can dig ourselves out from underneath all the boxes of presents and wedding detail leftovers that have been scattered throughout our living space for the past week.
Oh well, who needs a clean apartment when you've got a husband, right?
